Paddle Board Skills Coaching
Paddle Boarding Coaching and British Canoeing Awards
As well as offering a full range of British Canoeing coaching and leadership courses Beyond Adventure offer 'Skills Improvement Sessions' (SIS) - the aim of these is that you chose the content and we provide the coaching expertise.
Being based on the River Tay means we can start beginners on the quietwater but then move onto an appropriate loch or river section by the afternoon if conditions allow.
You can request a paddle board course on a particular day and if you don't mind others joining in, we will advertise it here on our website to see if anyone else is interested. The cost varies depending on the group size.
Please contact us to request an information pack on your chosen course.
A 2-3 hour instructed session, at our base, which allows young and old to experience paddleboarding for the first time. Our experienced staff will teach you all the tips and tricks you need to get afloat and enjoy this wonderful and fun paddlesport.
All you need to bring is your swimwear and shoes for on the water - we will supply the rest.
This 3 hour guided trip is suitable for everyone, regardless of any previous paddleboarding experience.
After meeting at our base, your guide will choose the best venue for you - options include Loch Faskally, Loch Tay or the River Lyon and River Tay.
We will get changed into wetsuits and then be transported to the start of the trip from where you will paddle through some beautiful Perthshire scenery before returning to base.
This full day guided trip is still suitable for everyone, regardless of any previous paddleboarding experience but it allows more time on the water to develop your skills and may take you into a more adventurous environment.
Again we meet at our base and after a short discussion your guide will choose the best venue for your trip. Normally this will be a combination of both Loch and River Tay but there are other venues we can use.
During the day there will be time to explore the islands on the loch and after some skills coaching we will paddle off downstream before stopping at a picturesque spot on the riverbank to enjoy lunch. During the day we will hopefully see lots of wild ducks and if you're interested we can stop to look at the evidence of beaver activity on the river.
If you want to progress your skills on a paddle board or work towards British Canoeing qualifications then we are happy to help you.
